How to configure the remote desktop
In this article I am going to explain how to set up remote desktop features on windows operating system. To begins a desktop connection between a remote windows XP based computer and a local computer it is easily. Just follow the steps below, and you can completely view and control other computer that you want to be controlled.
First, we must configure the remote windows, This computer will remotely be controlled other computer.I called this a “client” :
- Right-Click “My computer” on the desktop, if you couldn’t find that, click start and you should a see “my computer“
- The shortcut menu will appear then click Properties.
- In the tab select a remote tab
- Check the Allow users to connect remotely to this computer
- It will give you some message to confirm you about this change. Just click OK again
- Click Select remote users, looks the add button, the function of this button is specify the additional users to be granted remote access. So the different users can not be accessed remotely from other desktop. The administrator will automatically be granted remote access.
- Finish, the client is be accessed remotely.

To controlĀ the remote computer you must follow these steps.
- Click Start – All Programs – point to Accessories – Communications and then clickRemote Desktop Connection
- After the windows box appear click options.
- In the computer list, you need to fill the IP address or host name of the remote computer which want to controll.
- You have to fill the user name and password. This steps to ensure if you are the right person which have allowed to access the computer remotely.
- To disconnect the session, click the close button on the windows. If you could see the button, might the remote session is displayed in full-screen mode. SO you have to restore the windows.
