I want to share two of a best dekstop search software. All of software is freeware, you can use forever and free. With these software you will easily search your file on harddisk and web history. You can also find another feature to help you.
Google desktop search is first option that I recommend for you all. The main features are search your hard drive files and your web history. It also offer you with Gmail integrated , Outlook toolbar search and a novel desktop sidebar which allow allows personalized search, news, weather, photos and more.
This free software is not only available for windows. It can be used for linux and Mac OS.
The second desktop search is Locate 32. It may be not popular than google desktop. But After I tried it, I finally recommend to you. The software work like updatedb and locate commands in Unix based systems. It means, this windows desktop search uses databases to store information about directory structures and uses these databases in searches.
This windows desktop search is not same with google desktop. Because it’s only available on windows system. What best desktop search software are you will use?
